On May 15, Commissioner Cui Jianchun met with Ambassador of Namibia to China Ms. Tonata Itenge-Emvula.

Commissioner Cui welcomed Ambassador Itenge-Emvula’s visit to Hong Kong, spoke positively of the China-Namibia relationship, and briefed her on the spirit of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, the successful practice of “One Country, Two Systems”in Hong Kong, and Hong Kong’s unique advantages. He expressed the hope that Namibia would seize the development opportunities in Hong Kong and deepen exchanges and cooperation in trade, education, technology and other fields.
Ambassador Itenge-Emvula stated that since the establishment of diplomatic ties in 1990, Namibia and China have maintained friendly exchanges at all times, cementing the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership. Namibia values Hong Kong’s unique advantages and is willing to strengthen mutually beneficial cooperation with Hong Kong in various areas.
