On October 10, the launching ceremony of the "Visit to Xinjiang in Promotion of High-Level Xinjiang-Hong Kong Cooperation" tour for foreign consular corps and the business community in Hong Kong to visit the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region was held at the OCMFA. Commissioner Cui Jianchun headed the delegation and delivered a speech at the launching ceremony. About 50 members of the delegation attended the ceremony, including foreign consuls general in Hong Kong or their representatives, heads of foreign chambers of commerce in Hong Kong, senior executives of multinational corporations and financial institutions, officials of the HKSAR Government and media reporters.
Commissioner Cui said that the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, having been established for 70 years, is experiencing its best period of development in its history, marked by the most profound changes and greatest benefits to date for people of all ethnic groups. Strengthening exchanges and cooperation between Xinjiang and Hong Kong will help fully integrate Xinjiang's geographical advantages, resources, and industries with Hong Kong's advantages in capital, services, and innovation. Commissioner Cui expressed his hope that through this visit, everyone will deeply experience Xinjiang's open and confident development vitality and the unique charm of its multi-ethnic cultural blend, helping to write a new chapter in cooperation between Xinjiang and Hong Kong.

Commissioner Cui will lead the delegation to Xinjiang, including Urumqi, Kashgar and Ili from October 10 to 16. The visit will include a series of study activities focusing on Xinjiang's economic development, foreign trade cooperation, ethnic unity, and religious culture.
