On August 28, 2025, Commissioner Cui Jianchun received a courtesy call from new Consul General of Brunei Darussalam Ms. Lim Kim Suan.

Commissioner Cui welcomed Ms. Lim to take up her new post in Hong Kong and briefed her the core essence of “One Country, Two Systems”, its successful practice in Hong Kong and Hong Kong’s unique advantages. Commissioner Cui encouraged Ms. Lim to seize the dividends of Hong Kong's development and further promote exchanges and cooperation between Hong Kong and Brunei. 

Ms. Lim said Brunei attaches great importance to the unique advantages of Hong Kong and expressed her commitment to play a positive role in promoting cooperation between Brunei and Hong Kong in economic and trade, education and other fields.
