On 28 August 2025, Commissioner Cui Jianchun received a courtesy call from new CG of Nepal Mr Binderswar Prasad Lekhak.

 Commissioner Cui presented Consul General Lekhak with the exequatur and spoke positively of the bilateral relations. He briefed the Consul General on the successful practice of “One Country, Two Systems” in Hong Kong and Hong Kong’s unique advantages, and encouraged him to seize Hong Kong’s development opportunities and further promote exchanges and cooperation between Hong Kong and Nepal in various fields.

Consul General Lekhak stated that Nepal firmly upholds the one-China principle and highly values the unique advantages of “One Country, Two Systems” in Hong Kong. He also expressed that Nepal stays committed to playing an active role in promoting Nepal-China relations and deepening exchanges and cooperation between Nepal and China in areas such as investment, trade and tourism.
