Effective November 20, 2025, foreign nationals may fill in the relevant entry information online before traveling to the Mainland via the official website and government service platform of the National Immigration Administration (NIA), the “NIA 12367” App and WeChat /Alipay mini programs, or by scanning the QR code by mobile phones.

II. QR Code for Arrival Card Filling:

Any foreigners who are unable to complete the information online in advance may do so upon arrival at the immigration inspection site at China’s ports of entry and exit by scanning the QR code with a mobile phone, using a smart device on site to fill in the entry information online, or simply filling in a paper Arrival Card.

The following foreigners are exempted from the Arrival Card filling:

● Holders of a vaild Foreign Permanent Resident ID Card of the People’s Republic of China;

● Holders of a vaild Mainland Travel Permit for Hong Kong and Macao Residents 

(non-Chinese Citizens);

● Holders of a group visa or individuals eligible for group visa-free entry;

● Passengers in 24-hour direct transit who stay within the designated port area;

● Cruise passengers entering and departing on the same vessel;

● Travelers entering through the fast lanes;

● Foreign crew member of exit-entry transport vehicles.
