On September 19, 2024, Commissioner Cui Jianchun met with consul general of Dominican Republic Mr Eduardo Pelagio ALVAREZ HERNANDEZ.

 

 

Commissioner Cui introduced the successful practice of "one country, two systems" in the Hong Kong SAR, and briefed Mr HERNANDEZ on the third plenary session of the 20th Communist Party of China Central Committee, saying that China's further comprehensive deepening of reform is of great significance to the common prosperity and progress of both China and other developing countries, and he hoped that the Dominican Republic side would seize the opportunity to promote greater development of China-Dominican Republic relations and Hong Kong-Dominican Republic cooperation.

Hernandez highly affirmed the current good situation of stability,prosperity and the bright prospects of Hong Kong, and expressed his willingness to continue to play an active role in developing Dominican Republic-China relations and improving cooperation between Dominican Republic and Hong Kong.
