On August 18, Commissioner Cui Jianchun received a farewell call from Baher Sheweikhi，Consul General of Egypt to Hong Kong.

Commissioner Cui highly commended the Consul General for his contributions to promoting pragmatic cooperation between Hong Kong and Egypt during his tenure. Commissioner Cui also elaborated on the successful practice of “one country, two systems” in Hong Kong, and expressed hope that he would continue to play a role in deepening bilateral relations and pragmatic cooperation between Hong Kong and Egypt in his new post.

Consul General Sheweikhi thanked the Office of the Commissioner for the support and assistance provided during his term,and expressed his expectations that Egypt-China relations，as well as exchanges and cooperation between Egypt and Hong Kong in various fields will achieve new and greater progress.
