On December 23, Commissioner Cui Jianchun received a courtesy call from New CG of Iran Mr. Hassan Doutaghi. Deputy Commissioner Mr. Hua You and the consul of the Iranian Consulate General in Hong Kong Mostafa participated.

Commissioner Cui presented the Consul General Doutaghi with the exequatur. He briefed the Consul General on the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, the successful practice of "One Country, Two Systems" in Hong Kong, as well as Hong Kong’s unique advantages. He encouraged Mr. Consul General to play an active role in strengthening exchanges and cooperation between Hong Kong and Iran in various fields.

The Consul General Doutaghi stated that Iran firmly adheres to the one-China principle and supports the "One Country, Two Systems" policy, and that he would play a positive role in promoting more substantial results in exchanges and cooperation in various fields with Hong Kong.
