On August 17, Commissioner Cui Jianchun received a farewell visit from Kerim Sercan Evcin, Consul General of Türkiye in Hong Kong.

Commissioner Cui commended the Consul General for his contributions during his tenure to promoting pragmatic cooperation between Hong Kong and Türkiye, and encouraged him to continue to support the successful practice of “one country, two systems” in Hong Kong. Commissioner Cui also elaborated on new opportunities for cooperation between Türkiye and Hong Kong as well as the Mainland of China, and expressed hope that he would continue to play a role in deepening bilateral relations and pragmatic cooperation between Hong Kong and Türkiye in his new post.

Consul General Kerim Sercan Evcin thanked the Office of the Commissioner for the support and assistance provided during his term, stressed that Türkiye firmly supports the Chinese Central Government’s measures regarding Hong Kong, and expressed his confidence that friendly relations between Türkiye and China, as well as exchanges and cooperation between Türkiye and Hong Kong, would achieve even greater development.
