On September 29, Commissioner Cui Jianchun received a courtesy call by Mr. Luis Ernesto Camilo Garcia, Consul General of the Dominican Republic in Hong Kong SAR.

Commissioner Cui welcomed the Consul General to Hong Kong SAR to assume office. He briefed the Consul General on the core tenets of “One Country, Two Systems” and its successful practice in Hong Kong SAR, expressing the hope that the Consul General would seize the new opportunities of Hong Kong SAR, so as to further advance exchanges and cooperation between Hong Kong SAR and the Dominican Republic.

The Consul General stated that the Dominican Republic attaches great importance to unique strengths of Hong Kong SAR and stands ready to actively promote cooperation between his country and Hong Kong SAR in trade, economy, culture, tourism and other fields.
