On June 29, Commissioner Cui Jianchun met with Mr. Johannes Hack, Chairman of the European Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong and leaders of Chambers of Commerce in Hong Kong from European countries.

Commissioner Cui introduced China-EU relations, China’s economy and Hong Kong’s development, and expressed his hope that the European Chamber of Commerce and European companies could seize the opportunities presented by China’s high-quality development and Hong Kong’s transformation from stability to prosperity, and further expand their cooperation with China and the Hong Kong SAR.

Chairman Hack and representatives from participating Chambers of Commerce stated that European businesses in Hong Kong are optimistic about China’s development prospects, cherish Hong Kong’s unique advantages, and are ready to actively promote practical cooperation between Europe with China and the Hong Kong SAR in various fields.
