On December 16, Commissioner Cui Jianchun received a courtesy call from New CG of Myanmar Ms. Phoo Pwint Ko Ko. Deputy Commissioner Mr. Hua You, and the consuls of the Myanmar Consulate General in Hong Kong participated.

Commissioner Cui presented Consul General Phoo with the exequatur. He briefed the Consul General on the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, the successful practice of "One Country, Two Systems" in Hong Kong, as well as Hong Kong’s unique advantages. He encouraged the Consul General to seize Hong Kong’s development opportunities and further promote exchanges and cooperation between Hong Kong and Myanmar in various fields.

Consul General Phoo stated that Myanmar highly values the unique advantages of "One Country, Two Systems" enjoyed by Hong Kong, and that she would play an active role in promoting cooperation and exchanges between Myanmar and Hong Kong in various fields such as economy, trade, education and people-to-people exchanges.
