Commissioner Cui Jianchun met with new Consul General of the Philippines in Hong Kong

    On July 15, Commissioner Cui Jianchun received a courtesy call from new CG of the Philippines Mr. Romulo Victor Manzano Israel Jr.

    Commissioner Cui welcomed Mr. Consul General to take up his new post in Hong Kong and briefed him the core essence of "One Country, Two Systems", its successful practice in Hong Kong and Hong Kong's unique advantages. Commissioner Cui encouraged Mr. Consul General to seize the dividends of Hong Kong's development and further promote Hong Kong-Philippines exchanges and cooperation. Commissioner Cui also introduced Chinese principles and positions on the South China Sea issue and the Taiwan question.

    Mr. Consul General said the Philippines attached great importance to the unique advantages of Hong Kong and expressed his commitment to play a positive role in promoting Philippines-Hong Kong cooperation in various fields.
