On July 11, Commissioner Cui Jianchun received a farewell call from Mr. Ong Siew Gay, Consul General of Singapore in Hong Kong.

Commissioner Cui expressed appreciation to the positive contributions made by the Consul General in promoting exchanges and cooperation between the Hong Kong S.A.R. and Singapore during his tenure, and encouraged him to further promote and deepen Singapore-China relations and mutually beneficial cooperation between Singapore and the Hong Kong S.A.R. in his new position.

Mr. Consul General highly appreciated the kind support and assistance from the Commissioner’s Office in performing his duties. He said he will continue caring about and supporting the friendly relations between Singapore and China and the cooperation between Singapore and the Hong Kong S.A.R.

The two sides also had in-depth exchanges of views on issues of mutual interest.
