On June 6, Commissioner Cui Jianchun led the delegation of consular corps and business communities in Hong Kong to visit Zhuhai and Hengqin Guangdong-Macao in-depth cooperation zone, which brought the Greater Bay Area tour to a successful conclusion.

    Secretary of the Zhuhai Municipal Committee of the CPC, Secretary of the Hengqin Working Committee of the CPC Guangdong Provincial Committee Chen Yong held a promotion event for the delegation, said that Zhuhai is striving to build an important growth pole in the GBA and a core city on the west bank of the Pearl River estuary, and is working hard to become a model city for Chinese modernization. It will create better conditions and provide better services with the utmost sincerity for foreign friends to come to Zhuhai to invest, do businesses, engage in cultural exchanges, and go sightseeing.

    Consul General of Netherlands Maurits TER KUILE and Chairman of Swedish Chamber of Commerce Kristian Odebjer said that this tour has made them feel the vitality of high-quality development in the GBA. Zhuhai has a beautiful ecological environment, distinct open advantages and broad development prospects. They’re willing to actively promote the GBA to their countries and encourage domestic companies to strengthen cooperation with Zhuhai and other GBA cities.

    In Zhuhai, the delegation visited Huitong Ancient Village and Kingsoft Software Park, praised Zhuhai's charming scenery, cultural heritage and scientific innovation vitality, and said they would bring their families and friends here. The delegation also visited the Hengqin Planning Exhibition Hall in the Hengqin Cooperation Zone, the Cross-border E-commerce (Huafa) Innovation Park, and the enterprises of medical equipment and smart speech recognition located in Macao-Hengqin Youth Entrepreneurship Valley. They were amazed at the construction speed of the cooperation zone and were optimistic about the prospects for the integration development of Guangdong and Macao.
