    On June 5, the delegation of consular corps and business communities in Hong Kong attended the GBA Promotion hosted by Guangdong Provincial Government.

    Deputy Director of Guangdong Provincial Development and Reform Commission, Standing Deputy Director of the Leading Group Office of Guangdong on the Construction of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Zhu Wei, gave a comprehensive introduction to Guangdong's achievements in strengthening the construction of four key cooperation platforms, improving the level of market integration, and promoting the in-depth integration and development of Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao. Heads of the Department of Ecology and Environment, Department of Culture and Tourism and Department of Science and Technology made presentations on the construction of a beautiful, humanistic and international science and innovation center of GBA, and answered questions from the delegation members.

    Under Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development of Hong Kong SAR Government Bernard Chan, said that Hong Kong can jointly advance the construction of the GBA by providing diversified financing channels for Guangdong enterprises and promoting the transformation of scientific and technological findings and upgrading of industries. Consul General of Switzerland Daniel FREIHOFER and Chairman of the British Chamber of Commerce Jeremy Sheldon said that the GBA is a prime place for investment and business development. Hong Kong plays a vital role as a bridge connecting China and the world. They look forward to strengthening exchanges and cooperation and sharing the development opportunities of the GBA.

    Commissioner Cui said that the GBA has many advantages, including the concentration of talents and enterprises, complete infrastructure, vibrant science and innovation, developed industrial system, and strong trade resilience. It is a strategic fulcrum for China's new development paradigm, a demonstration for high-quality development, and a leader in Chinese modernization. We look forward to the gathering of diverse cultures and enterprises from various countries in the GBA to achieve harmonious and integrated development and contribute to a harmonious world.
