Commissioner Cui Jianchun met with Chairman of the Hong Kong Shipowners Association Mr. Angad Banga

On April 29, 2025, Commissioner Cui Jianchun met with the delegation of the Hong Kong Shipowners Association (HKSOA) led by Chairman Mr. Angad Banga.

Commissioner Cui said that the Chinese government continues to implement the principle of One Country, Two Systems fully and faithfully, and firmly supports Hong Kong in consolidating its international status as a shipping center. He encouraged HKSOA to work with its members to actively support Hong Kong integrating into China’s overall development, deepen international exchanges and cooperation, and promote the healthy and steady development of Hong Kong's shipping industry.

Banga said HKSOA firmly believes that Hong Kong’s shipping industry will have a bright future. HKSOA opposes all forms of unilateralism and protectionism, and is willing to further make good use of Hong Kong's unique advantages, actively integrate into the development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and the new development paradigm. HKSOA strives to make more contributions to the development of Hong Kong as an international shipping center.
