On May 28, Commissioner Cui Jianchun received a farewell call by Mr. Chaturont Chaiyakam, Consul General of Thailand in Hong Kong. Deputy Commissioner Mr. Zhang Changwei, Mr. Nattanon Tangngam, Consul of the Consulate General of Thailand in Hong Kong, and others participated.

Commissioner Cui spoke highly of China-Thailand relations and commended Consul-General Chaturont Chaiyakam for his active contributions to promoting practical cooperation between Hong Kong and Thailand during his tenure, and expressed his hope that the Consul General would continue to support friendly exchanges between the two places in his new post.

Mr. Chaturont Chaiyakam expressed his gratitude to the Commissioner's Office for the support and assistance provided during his tenure, and stated that he looks forward to and believes that bilateral relations between Thailand and China, as well as the exchanges and cooperation between Thailand and Hong Kong S.A.R. in various fields, will surely achieve new and greater progress.
