On 8 June 2021, Commissioner Liu Guangyuan met with outgoing CG of Singapore Ms Foo Teow Lee and CG of Nigeria Mr Nart Augustine Kolo.
Commissioner Liu spoke highly of China's bilateral relations with Singapore and Nigeria, and thanked the two CGs for their positive contribution to their countries' relations with China and cooperation with the HKSAR during their tenure in Hong Kong. He expressed hope that the two countries will continue to support One Country, Two Systems and efforts of China in safeguarding national sovereignty, security and prosperity and stability of Hong Kong. He also encouraged the two CGs to continue to play a positive role in boosting their countries' friendship with China and win-win cooperation with the HKSAR.
The two CGs thanked Commissioner Liu and the Commissioner's Office for support and assistance rendered to them, reiterated their countries' respect and support for One Country, Two Systems, and expressed wishes for Hong Kong's long-term prosperity and stability and personal commitment to further contributing to their countries' sound relations with China and practical cooperation with the HKSAR in various sectors.
