Deputy Commissioner Li Yongsheng

Mr. Li Yongsheng was born in Beijing in October 1971. He holds a PhD in law.

He took office as Deputy Commissioner of the Office of the Commissioner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region on 25 September 2023.  

His previous assignments include, among others, Counsellor and Legal Adviser of the Permanent Mission of the People’s Republic of China to the United Nations, Special Adviser for the Law of the Sea Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Deputy Director-General of the Foreign Affairs Office of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.
