On December 5th, Commissioner Cui Jianchun met with Sally Chen, the newly appointed Resident Representative of HKSAR Sub-Office of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Office in China.
Commissioner Cui Jianchun briefed Sally Chen on the Third Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the CPC and the successful practice of the “one country, two systems” policy in Hong Kong. Commissioner Cui said that China supports IMF to continue to play an important role in global governance. The Commissioner’s Office will further strengthen cooperation with the IMF HKSAR Sub-Office, and support Hong Kong to consolidate its position as an international financial center.
Sally Chen expressed IMF’s affirmation to Hong Kong’s position as a major international financial center, and its optimism about the promising future of Hong Kong’s economy, and said that she is committed to promoting the cooperation and exchanges between IMF and China during her tenure.
