Commissioner Cui Jianchun met with Chairman of Our Hong Kong Foundation Bernard Chan

On July 23, 2024, Commissioner Cui Jianchun met with chairman of the Our Hong Kong Foundation(OHKF) Bernard Chan and president of the OHKF Doctor Jane Lee.

 

Commissioner Cui thanked the Foundation for its long-term contribution to the development of Hong Kong and its efforts in promoting Hong Kong to the world. Cui briefed the foundation members on the Third Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the Five-Sphere Integrated Plan and the Four-Pronged Comprehensive Strategy. Cui encouraged Chen and his group to deeply understand the national conditions and Hong Kong conditions, seize Hong Kong's historic opportunities from integrating into national development, give full play to its outstanding advantages in policy research, compilation of Hong Kong chronicles as well as Chinese cultural promotion, and contribute to the implementation of "one country, two systems" in Hong Kong. The Commissioner's Office will give full play to its diplomatic resources and provide support for the OHKF to better expand external exchanges and cooperation.


 

Chan introduced the various aspects of the work and  advantages of the OHKF, and expressed his willingness to conduct an in-depth study of the "3C+9S" concept of the Commissioner's Office, strengthen communication and cooperation with the Commissioner's Office, further enhance the policy recommendation function, and contribute to the integrated development of the GBA, cooperation between Hong Kong and ASEAN, and the unity of Hong Kong society, Chan  said that the OHKF will continue to tell Chinese stories and Hong Kong stories in a better way, so as to serve the overall development of Hong Kong and the country.
